In 1990, after completing his judicial clerkships, Paul joined the law firm of Christoffel & Elliott, St. Paul, Minnesota as an associate in the commercial law and bankruptcy department. Paul has served as a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee appointed by the United States Department of Justice for the past seven years.
